Los Angeles Doulas for the Best Support During Pregnancy

As incredible as pregnancy is, it can really take a toll on every aspect of your life. Whether you’re trying to deal with the unfathomable fatigue or are trying to deal with the fact that there are tiny feet literally just chilling on the side of your belly, there is a lot to take in. And that’s not even dealing with childbirth itself! This is what makes doulas so dang amazing. Doulas are essentially pregnancy coaches who will sit down with you, discuss different concerns, and offer helpful advice. Throughout labor, they’ll be by your side and offer different breathing techniques and various natural forms of pain relief. If you’ve considered adding this vital aide to your pregnancy team, I would love to tell you about some of the best Los Angeles doulas.

Headfirst Doula Services

Headfirst Doulas Services was founded by Yana Katzap-Nackman in 2003 after the birth of her first Los Angeles child. She is dually certified as a birth and postpartum doula as well as a lactation consultant. Her goal is to make sure you have the information you need for your pregnancy and delivery. Headfirst offers both prenatal and postpartum doula packages. You’ll receive unlimited phone and email support throughout your pregnancy as well as assistance throughout your labor and the first feedings. The center also offers childbirth and breastfeeding classes so you can feel fully prepared for the months following delivery.

West LA Doula

West LA Doula is a Los Angeles center featuring certified postpartum doulas Erin Fitzsimmons and Sarah Pinder. Both women have a passion for helping out new parents who are feeling overwhelmed. Your doula will be there throughout the first few weeks of your baby’s life and will provide the necessary support to get you through that exhausting period. They’ll provide guidance on breastfeeding, assist with meal prepping, watch the baby so you can get a few hours of sleep, and much more. Both doulas keep up with CPR-certification. On top of their support, they can provide necessary information on issues such as sleep, cloth diapers, babywearing, and more!
