Let Prenatal Yoga In Boise Be Your Secret Weapon for Pregnancy

Throughout pregnancy, yoga can act as a secret weapon. You are going to get the opportunity to remain active while building up a pretty incredible community. The poses were designed to increase your flexibility and stamina, which will pay off big time once it’s time for labor. Plus, your body is going to have a headstart on recovery once your baby arrives! Many moms who choose to practice prenatal yoga also notice decreased symptoms throughout their pregnancy. Seriously, your body is going to thank you for your regular practice! If you think you want to give prenatal yoga a try, the first step is to find a studio that makes you feel right at home. That’s why I’m here! As a Boise motherhood photographer, I get the chance to learn about the best local experts around. Here are the studios for prenatal yoga in Boise my clients love!

Jillian Woods Yoga

Boise, Idaho 83706

There is a reason why new moms have fallen head over heels for Jillian Woods! Jillian is a mom herself who fell in love with yoga back in 2007. For her, it was more than just a practice. It was an escape from the chaos of her job and a transformation at a time when she really needed it. She transitioned to prenatal yoga when she had a baby of her own. Now, she works with parents across the area to help them create a practice that will benefit them for years down the line.

Many of the people who choose to take her classes decide to use Zoom. This offers a convenient way for you to join in the prenatal yoga without leaving your Boise house. You can throw on some sweats, light a candle, and go through the poses before unwinding on the couch. If you do decide to come in person, you will be greeted by a warm community Jillian has cultivated across the area. Many moms continue to return after their babies are born so they can reconnect with friends while aiding recovery. Jillian offers prenatal and postnatal yoga as well as woman-centric yoga. Her bundles make it super affordable to select the options you need for your current season.

True North Yoga

1512 N. 10th Street, Boise, Idaho 83702

If you’d prefer a larger prenatal yoga studio, True North Boise might be more your speed. This center has two Boise locations with a schedule full of classes you’ll love! Since they first started hosting classes back in 2021, they have consistently been voted “Best of Boise.” All of their teachers are highly educated and experienced, so they can provide you with the optimal experience. They also strive to make sure your time there is everything you need it to be. From the class structures to the atmosphere, you will be in a space created with your comfort in mind.

The studio offers pretty much every kind of class, including yin yoga, heated yoga and pilates, cold plunge, and vinyasa. They have several teachers certified to lead prenatal and postpartum classes. These sessions are safe for all trimesters. With continued practice, you will feel decreased back pain, better bladder control, and an overall positive attitude. The classes are held once a week. They’re beginner-friendly, with no previous experience required! You can choose to buy individual classes, but if you ask me, the packages are the perfect way to treat yourself!

Embryoga-Intuitive Birth

Embryoga is a space I always recommend to expectant parents! The Boise owners of this prenatal yoga studio understand everything that goes along with having a baby. They are here to ensure you can have an empowering experience from pregnancy through the postpartum stage. They offer two main services: Intuitive Birth and Embryoga. With Intuitive Birth, you are going to build up intelligence about your body. These classes happen all over the area, including at St. Luke’s Birth. If you don’t feel like driving across town, you can also try out an online class where you can get all the info without ever leaving your pajamas.

For their yoga sessions, you can check out Embryoga. These classes are usually treated like a series where you can build upon previous skills so you can increase your body’s strength. They put mindfulness at the center of all their work. You are going to learn how to find your own joy while growing more aware of your body. They are also going to help you bond with your baby well before they’re even born! Through their classes, you can get re-centered while creating a peaceful atmosphere for your baby. You can choose to pair the yoga and the Intuitive Birth classes, or you can take them separately.

Portal

515 S Vista Ave, Boise, Idaho 83705

Portal is consistently a favorite for both new and serious yogis alike. They are one of the top heated studios in town, offering infrared technology that will bring your practice to the next level. When it comes to their prenatal and postpartum yoga classes in Boise, you can trust that you’re in good hands! The classes are led by Doctors of Physical Therapy who have spent years studying how the body works. The movements are extremely gentle, keeping you and your baby safe while still offering an effective workout. They will work with you on your posture and your techniques so your body can accommodate your baby as they grow.

Not only are you going to get the chance to strengthen muscles while creating community, but you are also going to learn what you can expect throughout labor. Once your baby is born, you can come back and chat with other parents while guiding your body through recovery.
